Oh, how I wish I could know myself. So complex is the human mind that not even its owner contains the keys to every hallway and every door that exist within it. I feel so much, and through most everything: through movement, the rush you get as you jump right at the moment a piece of music surges and swells, when your body and the instrument synchronize completely, spinning and looping in ways both wonderfully different and the same; through the exhilaration of life in general, of feeling so amazingly small and large; through the innocent love of a child; the magic of a moment; the impermanence of oneself. I exist by way of the intake of oxygen and the exhale of carbon dioxide, but these details are purely mechanical; completely neglecting our essential need for sky, sun, those who love you and who you love back. My whole being yearns for a sense of reason, for a placement on earth, where I can help others in any way I can. Shall I journey to another country? Shall I write a novel, take photographs, dance, sing, draw? A whole realm of possibilities is open to each of us, as limitless as a black hole existing in a far away galaxy. And it is this detail that makes me long to embrace the world and the being who formed it, in a genuine display of intense gratitude.
